Bravo was bred by Sally Haxwell of Inverwood Stud. He is by Northern Romulus who was by Falkland Victory out of Arnhem Dutch WB mare. Romulus had just reached Prix St Georges and had won the Advanced at the Fleurieu Championships when he developed colic and died following surgery. Sally kindly offered me Bravo the day after Romulus died and I purchased him at five weeks of age. His dam carries the famous Salute lines on her sire's side and his grand-dam's lineage goes back to Precipitation who has been an outstanding TB sire of jumping horses.
RIP BRAVO ROMULUS
I am very sad to advise that my beautiful Bravo had to be put down in April 2018 due to a paddock injury. He is sorely missed,I had hoped to be competing Medium with him by the end of the year, he was being such a good boy teaching me the more advanced movements. I have spent many years training youngsters but never have gone on to compete beyond Elementary, Bravo was going to be my partner in this. He is now buried in his paddock with his Dad, Northern Romulus and hopefully at peace in a lovely green paddock with lots of girlfriends.
